School leavers

Banking apprenticeships

With or without a vocational school-leaving certificate, a banking apprenticeship is a good way to start a career in the world of finance.

You'll get sound basic commercial training and benefit from the strong practical experience that an apprenticeship offers.

You'll build on that by attending a commercial college and adding to your knowledge of banking through internal and external training courses.

At the same time, you'll have a chance to get to know some of UBS's business areas.

You can do this as extended basic commercial training over three years, or with a vocational school-leaving certificate in business.

Bank entry for high-school graduates (BEM)

Soundly based and many-sided – this 18-month all-round internship opens doors and offers you the best prospects for your future career.

Have you got your school-leaving certificate, or successfully completed three years of commercial high school? Or have you already been studying at university for a few semesters, but would rather start work right now? We offer the perfect way in.

At UBS you'll have solid training with lots of practical experience, and get to know some of the bank's business areas. Your internship will be rounded off by bank training provided by the Center for Young Professionals in Banking (CYP).

When you finish you can get the "Bank Entry for High-School Graduates" certificate from the Swiss Bankers Association.

IT training

Help us shape the digital future. An IT apprenticeship or the UBS Way-up IT Program offer you entry into the fascinating world of information technology.

IT apprenticeships take four years and are available only in Zurich. You have the choice of comprehensive training in systems technology or in applications development.

The UBS Way-up IT Program lets people who've completed a banking apprenticeship with a vocational school-leaving certificate to move into the world of IT, and gives high school leavers the chance to get started in information technology at UBS with a solid training scheme.
