Wealth Management

We share a strong passion for art with our clients through a wide range of initiatives. This commitment revolves around our partnerships with major museums and UBS Art Collection, i.e. the key elements of UBS comprehensive strategy to support art and culture worldwide.

UBS Art Collection is considered to be one of the most important collections worldwide. It has over 30,000 works of contemporary art from the 60s to the present day including painting, photography, drawing, prints, videos, art and sculpture.

The artists represented in the collection range from emerging talents to some of the most important artistic figures of the past fifty years on the international art scene.

The works from UBS Art Collection are located in about 700 offices in more than 50 countries worldwide and are regularly lent to international museums, making the collection available to a wider audience.

We work with major museums including Guggenheim, The Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, Nouveau Musée National de Monaco and the Fondation Beyeler.

Moreover, we are global partners of Art Basel, the largest contemporary art fair in the world with its three editions in Basel, Miami and Hong Kong.

In Italy we chose to team up with the civic museum Galleria d’Arte Moderna di Milano (GAM), a neoclassical jewel located in the heart of the city and home to prestigious art collections.

For more than 150 years we have been pursuing our vocation: providing advice and services for private wealth management. We operate in over 50 countries and in Italy we combine our global vision with our attention to the needs of those who live and work in local areas, always looking to the future.

Through such commitment we understood that without culture there can be no sustainable social and economic development.

This is why we chose to be active promoters of culture and for many years now we have been supporting activities related to the art world through numerous initiatives and prestigious international collaborations.

In Italy we aimed at strengthening our commitment by dedicating to the city of Milan a rich programme of initiatives observing the world through art. Its core was our decision to support the Galleria d’Arte Moderna, a neoclassical gem, which over the decades has become a Home for great art collections donated by historical families of the city, animated by the desire to make the right to culture eternal.

We wish to convey our passion for art, which we already share with many of our clients.

The partnership with the Galleria d’Arte Moderna confirms such passion and aims to enhance this Milanese example of excellence, a place favoured by art lovers and even by those who are merely curious and looking for a unique experience rich in suggestions.

Past exhibitions in Italy

UBS presented the exhibition hosted by Galleria d'Arte Moderna, created in collaboration with Università Cattolica, Università Statale and Politecnico.
This extraordinary exhibition, opened to the public for the first time, retraced the very best of Lombard sculpture from the late neoclassicism to symbolist period, through one hundred works by some of the leading figures of the art scene, like Canova, Hunters and Wildt.

We have always shared our passion for art with our clients, through various collaborations with well-known museums. Among these is the Guggenheim Foundation, with which UBS initiated the Guggenheim UBS MAP Global Art Initiative in 2013. This initiative was a journey of discovery, promoting young artists from three of the world's most dynamic and creative regions: Asia, Latin America and Central Africa.

In May, we celebrated this milestone at Peggy Guggenheim.

Inspired by the famous film by Hitchcock, the exhibition was curated by Luca Massimo Barbero and offered a path of investigation on the issue of private collections through an unprecedented dialogue among the marvellous neoclassical rooms of the Villa, its masterpieces and contemporary works from prestigious Italian collections. From November 2016 to February 2017.

A tribute to contemporary painting through over 100 masterpieces from UBS Art Collection: 91 international artists gathered for the first time at the Galleria d'Arte Moderna of Milan from June to October 2015. Curated by Francesco Bonami.

The exhibition was curated by Francesco Bonami and was held at GAM in Milan from March to June 2014. It displayed 50 drawings on paper by 35 international prominent figures from the 60s till today, featuring women, portraits, gestures, figures and words as main topics.
